Position Overview
CRH is looking for a Junior Analyst ESG to join the ESG Engagement Team. The ESG Engagement team manages CRH’s engagement with investors, rating agencies and other stakeholders on all Environmental, Social & Governance topics. The successful candidate will gain first-hand experience of developing and enhancing CRH’s ESG positioning and industry leading ratings as well as an in-depth understanding of the processes involved in analysing and reporting ESG data. Key Tasks and Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Support submission to ESG rating agencies
- Contribute to continuous improvement and development of best practice in ESG reporting
- Monitor macroeconomic, technological, sustainability and social news and trends
- Conduct analysis of trends and industry data
- Create communication on sustainability initiatives and support the delivery of CRH´s sustainability ambitions, helping to shape a more sustainable built environment.
- Support preparation of internal and external reports and presentations, including relevant sections of the Annual Report and Sustainability Performance Report
- Working with the ESG Engagement Team in responding to internal and external stakeholder data requests including investors and rating agencies.
- In-depth analytics and interpretation of financial and non-financial KPIs

Experience / Education
You are/have:
- Background in statistical analysis/sustainability/environment/ finance
- Educated to degree standard
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word; previous experiences with databases would be an advantage
Flexibility is required within the role, which includes some core elements but also periodic emphasis on more project-type activities.
