Role Objectives:
To source new, used and alternative vehicle parts for the Hollard Group in order to reduce the cost of these inputs in the repair process. Monitor and manage parts delays and disruptions. Liaise with business units, negotiate with parts suppliers and stakeholders. Monitor assessor’s costs and compliance and perform ad hoc duties where necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Source vehicle parts on a national basis
- Optimise the control of and delivery of parts supply from parts dealer to MBR
- Keep track of and report on metrics that measure success of parts sourcing
- Monitor motor assessor compliance to overall cost, percentage of additionals and parts purchases
- Ensure parts delays are dealt with promptly and cost effectively
- Monitor repair times and ensure that these are adhered to
- Adhere to policies within the organization on Record Management Policy, ensuring that all security documentation is locked away after business hours.
- Escalate any deviation to the standard to line management and ensure no disruption to the rest of the operation.
- Continually seek out opportunities to add value to the team and extend the relationship with colleagues, leaders and external stakeholders
- Provide effective feedback to all relevant key stakeholders
- Attending to all queries from management and stakeholders within the desired turnaround time by analysing the root causes and solving the query
- Escalating those queries in the relevant timeframes to the relevant stakeholders to resolve the problem/query
- Dealing with all stakeholder requests and providing the necessary information required
Required Knowledge and Experience
- 3 – 4 years in a parts sourcing/buying role within the motor or Insurance industry
- Knowledge and experience in assessing and or panel beating
- Audatex proficiency certificate
