Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled professional to join our team as a Senior Internal Auditor. As a Senior Internal Auditor, you will be responsible for leading and executing complex audit engagements, evaluating internal controls, and providing valuable insights to mitigate risks and improve operational efficiency. You will play a crucial role in enhancing our organization's risk management processes and driving continuous improvement in our internal audit function.

Responsibilities:
- Perform and control the full audit cycle including risk management and control management over operations’ effectiveness, financial reliability and compliance with all applicable directives and regulations
- Determine internal audit scope and develop annual plans
- Develop and implement audit strategies/ programs for preventing and detecting fraud/ wastages.
- Obtain, analyze and evaluate accounting documentation, previous reports, data, flowcharts etc.
- Prepare and present reports that reflect audit’s results and document process
- Act as an objective source of independent advice to ensure validity, legality and goal achievement.
- Determine internal audit scope and developing annual plans.
- Identify loopholes and recommend risk aversion measures and cost savings
- Maintain open communication with management and audit committee
- Document process and prepare audit findings memorandum
- Conduct follow up audits to monitor management’s interventions
- Engage to continuous knowledge development regarding sector’s rules, regulations, best practices, tools, techniques and performance standards
- Conduct assigned audit engagements successfully from beginning to end in line with the requirements for auditing a fast food/restaurant.
- Identify and communicate issues raised, offering recommended solutions relevant to the business and risk.
- Supervise junior auditors assigned to engagements providing guidance and overall review of deliverables.
- Ensure audit conclusions are based on a complete understanding of the process, circumstances, and risk.
- Develop audit programs and testing procedures relevant to risk and test objectives.
- Obtain and review evidence ensuring audit conclusions are well-documented.
- Ensure adherence at all times to all applicable department and professional standards.
- Set up a team to participate in market survey and cheaper ways of sourcing for key materials.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certifications such as ICAN are required
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in internal auditing, with a focus on financial, operational, and compliance audits.
- Strong knowledge of auditing principles, practices, and standards, as well as relevant laws and regulations.
- Proven experience in leading and managing audit engagements, including planning, execution, and reporting.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and provide practical solutions to complex issues.
- Proficiency in using audit software tools, data analytics, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities, with the capacity to inspire and mentor a team of auditors.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information effectively to stakeholders at various levels.
- High ethical standards, integrity, and professionalism in handling sensitive and confidential information.
- Continuous learning mindset, keeping abreast of emerging trends and best practices in internal auditing and risk management.
