About the Role

Sunset Care Home has a range of opportunities working on either permanent full-time (minimum guaranteed 32 hours p/w), part-time, fixed term, and casual basis. You will be working rotating rostered shifts (AMs/PMs/Nights across Monday to Sunday), offering flexibility to spend time with the people you care about.


As a Registered Nursing working at Bupa Sunset Care Home, you’ll work closely with the Unit Coordinators to enhance your skills and knowledge enabling you to grow. You will be passionate about what you do, provide quality care, and build relationships with the residents and their families. Help us rise to the challenges of enriching the lives of our society’s most vulnerable.

Sunset Care Home in Blockhouse Bay, West Auckland has a friend and support team with a strong leadership team. Sunset Care Home has 122 beds and offers Rest Home, Hospital and

Dementia level care.


Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide person-centred clinical care for residents in care homes across various levels of care.
  • Lead a team of caregivers to provide the highest quality clinical care.
  • Conduct medication rounds, manage care plans, and maintain accurate paperwork.
  • Stand up and tell us where we can invest more to ensure continuous quality improvement.


Skills and Qualifications

You’ll help us make a real difference through your RN experience, personal passion, and empathy.

  • Hold a current APC and NZ Nursing Council Registration.
  • Excellent clinical skills in adult care and ideal aged care experience.
  • Confident communication, interpersonal, and teamwork abilities.
  • A compassionate nurse who strives for excellence and to make an impact in residents’ lives.
