Event Assistant
Duties:
- Assist in the planning and execution of events, including catering, fundraising, hotel, restaurant, and banquet events.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure all necessary supplies and services are secured for each event.
- Set up event spaces with decorations, seating arrangements, and audiovisual equipment as needed.
- Greet and assist guests upon arrival, providing excellent customer service and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
- Monitor event activities to ensure smooth operations and handle any issues or emergencies that may arise.
- Assist with event registration, ticketing, and guest check-in processes.
- Collaborate with the event team to develop event timelines, schedules, and run sheets.
- Assist with post-event activities such as cleaning up the venue and collecting feedback from attendees.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in hospitality or event management is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Knowledge of contract negotiation and vendor management is a plus.
