Our client, a leading international company with more than 80 locations across Europe, is looking for a Production Engineer for our site in the Balen region. As Production Engineer, you will be responsible for optimizing the production process of extra-thin, high-quality flat glass for the high-tech industry, mobility industry and Solar applications.
Function
- You will delve into acquiring the necessary technical expertise related to the entire industrial process for thin flat glass. This includes raw material management, preparation and management of etching solutions, production processes, wastewater treatment and corrective and preventive maintenance. You will also delve into acquiring the necessary technical expertise with regard to cutting/rooting/chemical hardening/laser cutting of thin flat glass.
- As Production Engineer, you meticulously analyse the production results and propose detailed optimizations. You review the realization of possible investments based on pay-back calculations and quickly identify any technical or organisational problems. You report to the manager and maintain a good relationship with Sales & Marketing and R&D in Europe.
Your profile
- Our ideal candidate has an engineering degree in chemistry, electromechanics, mechanical or electrical engineering. Several years of experience in process control and in-depth process analysis in an industrial environment is a plus. You are fascinated by technology and new developments in an international environment and find solving complex problems a challenge. You strive for continuous improvement and know how to implement changes thoughtfully.
- As a team player with good communication skills, you work fluently in Dutch and English, and fluency in French is a plus. Your creative/analytical thinking skills, proactive approach and enthusiasm are determining factors.
